Artwork files

For us to be able to bring your branding to life, we will need the artwork in the correct format. Either a Working or Vector File.

A Working File or Vector File is like the blueprint for your artwork. It allows graphic programs to make changes without sacrificing quality. You can resize your design from small to large without any loss of sharpness, and it's handy for editing colors and rearranging elements.

On the flip side, a Raster File is like a picture made up of tiny dots called pixels. Enlarging it can make things look blurry because you're essentially stretching those pixels.

When it comes to printing, we need those Working or Vector Files. They're like the preferred format. Converting a Raster File into a Vector one is possible, but it's akin to turning a photo into a painting – it takes time and skill from our designers.

How do you identify a Vector/Working File?

Check the file extension – .ai, .png, .eps, .pdf, or .svg indicate a Working or Vector File. If it's .jpg, .bmp or .gif, it's a Raster File.

Thinking about screenshotting your logo?

Unfortunately, that always results in a Raster File.

All to hard to do yourself (we get it) and need a hand?

We can convert the file for you, but it does take abit of work. There is an added charge of $50 (+GST) per logo. Email us at hello@jaysprintstudio.com to organise this.
